We believe that privately owned and operated data is fundamental to avoiding a future of intrusive surveillance and historical manipulation. To address this concern, and to attempt to increase the rate of communication with our close friends in distant places, we are developing a private communication application using Nostr. Evolving from our research into synthetic memory, el-o explores how private communication networks and memory storage could function independent of large institutions. We will use this application to further explore the development of communication systems that improve human-machine interfacing on earth and in space.
